The project

Gold Standard Home Inspections is a newly founded Canadian company that was in need for a fitting logo and business cards. The owner wasn’t quite sure yet, what look and feel he should go for with his new brand. So he tasked us with designing three unique company logos and business card proposals, that convey his business’ core values.

The outcome

Style 1: A Classic Approach

Font: Serif/Modern and Sans Serif

Colours: convey down-to-earthness, well established

Logo: Two-tone earth colours, showing a neighbourhood. Elegant, yet attainable

Design: Local skyline illustration, cropped. Sublimation and tension

Style 2: Go For Bold

Font: Sans Serif Black and Sans Serif Thin

Colours: convey strength, high-quality, precision

Logo: bold abstract house shape that doubles as the company name initials G and S

Design: sleek repetition with gold gradient

Style 3: Vintage Badge

Font: Slab Serif and Sans Serif Thin

Colours: convey trust, experience, reliability

Logo: Vintage style badge logo, doubles as stamp-like feature that would work well as paper emboss

Design: Logo complemented by a magnifying glass’ handle, showcasing the ‘inspection’ aspect. Sublimation, tension, and interlocking elements

Which one would you choose?
