The Engadin Valley is situated on the southern side of the Swiss Alps where it draws in over 4 Mio. overnight stays each year. The Engadin St. Moritz Tourismus AG (ESTM) is responsible for marketing the resort, and establishing St. Moritz and the Engadin as a worldwide paragon of an alpine vacation destination.
ESTM works closely with local hotels and thus received feedback from their business clients, that certain core functions on ESTM’s website ‘engadin.ch’ can’t be found and accessed easily.
Research and analytics had shown that the users specifically struggled to access ESTM’s activity platform; A potent engine that lets users explore the multifaceted sports and leisure activities the region has to offer.
The lack of easy access to these features was not only bothersome for ESTM’s business partners, but routinely led to an additional workload on both sides. Therefore, ESTM reached out to us for redesigning their quick navigation menu along with an integration of a new booking widget in form of a prominent call-to-action section.
We created multiple design proposals redefining navigation options in a user-friendly way. While we had to adhere to the existing CI/CD rules, we were tasked with designing and implementing new menu icons, that are instantly recognizable and unmistakable for user interaction.
In addition, ESTM launched a brand-new online shop, featuring a potent booking widget. In order to boost traffic and sales, they were looking for an eye-catching, yet lean integration of a booking widget on their home landing page.
