The project

Larisa Gstöhl sought our expertise to bring to life Corkana, her innovative luxury fashion label, with a focus on the natural character of its products. In this journey, we crafted a brand identity aligned with the label’s essence, setting a new standard in nature-based fashion.

The outcome

The Corkana brand identity project encompassed an extensive process that included establishing the company’s core values, ideal customer profile, and distinctive market positioning, resulting in the creation of a custom logo suite and a complete brand style guide, encapsulating the foundation of the brand.

Corkana, embodying values of sustainability, fairness, and fashion-forwardness, appeals to style-conscious individuals who value unique, quality products. This high-end cork fashion label stands out with its commitment to producing ethically-made, designer fashion, each infused with a touch of romantic elegance.

Building on this foundation, the Corkana brand identity seamlessly integrates modern design with traditional influences.

The primary logo’s custom typography with delicate serifs conveys themes of eternity and loyalty, central to the brand’s identity.

Significantly, the logo icon incorporates a traditional Tunisian pattern, reinterpreted to represent oak acorns, symbolizing the origin of the cork used in Corkana’s products. This thoughtful design element not only adds a unique aesthetic but also connects directly to the geographical roots of the materials, highlighting the brand’s commitment to authenticity and sustainability.

A key element is the scientifically accurate illustration pattern of the Tunisian-native cork tree, from which the products are made. This intricate design not only captures the essence of Corkana’s primary material but also serves as a unique and recognizable brand element. Skillfully integrated into packaging and product design, it reinforces the brand’s connection to its natural origins and enhances its identity as a luxury label rooted in authenticity and environmental consciousness.

The typography in Corkana’s branding, featuring ‘Ivy Mode Regular’ for its elegant and modern appeal in headings, and ‘Futura PT’ for readability in subheadings and body text, plays a crucial role in defining the brand’s sophisticated and contemporary image.
