The project
Kochfee Dessa is an official Swiss Thermomix® Expert with Vorwerk AG. As a successful independent consultant, she was looking to further professionalize and elevate her brand to prepare for her ambitious growth goals.
We guided Dessa through our Brand Foundation process, defining her company’s values, positioning, and appearance in the market. Based on this, we created a cohesive brand style, which forms the foundation for the design and development of her new website, logo suite, and marketing templates.
The outcome
Dessa told us that her target audience is quite unique, as her product can be of use in virtually anyone’s household. We worked on defining her ideal client, so her brand appeals to them immediately.
As a result, we opted for a modern serif typeface for eye-catching headers which was avidly used in advertising and marketing posters in the 19th century and is currently experiencing a comeback. In combination with a low-key sans-serif typeface for body text, this makes for an excellent pairing, visually and UX-wise. In regard to the typefaces used in Dessa’s Logo Suite, we dared to go for a more fairy-like serif typeface, which of course is a nod to her brand name ‘Kochfee’ (Cooking Fairy).
As for colour, it became apparent that a palette of greens and supporting colours would represent not only Dessa’s brand and its values perfectly, but also stand in unison with the branding of the mother company, Vorwerk AG.
Alongside her new Logo files and Social Media Post Templates, Dessa received an all-encompassing CI/CD Brand Guide from us, which describes her brand and its assets in detail. With this in hand, she will be able to employ any professional marketing or print agency for future advertising endeavours.
Regarding the strategic design and development of Dessa’s Website, we made placing an order request for her product the main priority. As the mother company does not permit direct sales of the Thermomix® product itself, we had to ensure guidance and clear communication throughout this user journey. As a secondary priority, a booking platform was seamlessly embedded, allowing users to easily book rentals and events.
As Dessa leads an ever-growing team of Thermomix® consultants, another web strategy goal was communicating job opportunities to attract new applicants. We implemented a dedicated page as well as a job ad sporting an application form. The placement of blog posts with real-life accounts about the day-to-day work tells visitors more about the job, and can help in expediting decision-making.
To attract traffic through search engines (such as Google), we consulted Dessa about regularly posting her own SEO-optimized recipes, articles about Thermomix® tips, and more. We created a suite of different blog post templates and her own personal recipe database to keep everything neat and tidy.
Eventually, we set Dessa up with digital analytics integrations as well as a Cloud CRM and marketing platform integration. She’s planning on sending newsletters to clients regularly and has already found success with new website visitors signing up for a free lead-magnet that we consulted her on.
